Government Chief Whip Jane Ruth Aceng told Parliament on 29 September 2026 that a list of people alleged to be held incommunicado has been forwarded to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Her disclosure followed a call by Jinja South Division East MP Paul Mwiru over the case of Baba TV journalist Eria Jjengo, who was reportedly picked from his workplace and never produced in court.
